EEND676- Collaborative Tools

This course focused on how we can best leverage digital tools to enhance collaboration. Some of the new tools I have discovered over the last few weeks are:

Flipgrid: I love using Flipgrid. I have used it with classes to pre-assess their knowledge of a topic and as a way to get to know them. Most students love to record short videos and share them with their classmates. To engage the "collaboration" piece I'm having students practice giving a short speech and comment on 2 or more students' videos.

Goosechase. I wanted to create a game for teams to collaborate and have fun. Goosechase is super easy to use and enables teams to work together and compete with other teams. Follow these steps to see and play my Goosechase game.

  • Download the Goosechase app, choose to play as a guest or register for a personal account. Search for DGS Online Game version or game code VJ1J61.
  • Follow the prompts to select or create your team

Kahoot. I have been trying to make the library orientations more fun and engaging for students. Kahoot provides an opportunity for students to collaborate and answer the questions while racing against other teams. Here is my Kahoot game for teams.  Use the Kahoot app or the online version, Game Pin 6878178 or search for DGS Library Orientation.
